And we digress …

Here’s a video of someone claiming it’s the smartest he has been in Among Us.

I have no idea what’s going on, but for some reason I did find it amusing. I suspect I would be absolutely terrible at games involving social deduction, and Jack would be equally terrible at Solitaire card games.

WARNING: contains coarse language

Hopefully we can return to some actual Spider Solitaire content soon …

  1. Master Chi-Yuen, let me see if I understand this correctly. You, Esteemed Scholar Bart and I are undertaking a study of what is perhaps the most difficult mode of what is perhaps the most difficult solitaire card game and into the middle of our studies you are throwing a twist consisting of an integration with some who-done-it parlor game morphed into a contemporary computer aged bin of frustration centered around social logic?

    Do I have that right?

And you admit you are not good at said social-illogical reasoning?

I have good news, however bad you think you are, I am probably worse at games such as Among Us. I just never developed the mental edge needed for this. I think this is because way back when I was coming of age to attend the University of Oklahoma where I was studying leg hydraulics hoping to hop in the Hi-n-Long-Jump Olympics. At that point in time I was reading everything I could get my hands on including Mystery Novels, both the classics and modern day. I ran into a string of modern day authors (modern day being 55 years ago) who thought it cute to withhold two or three facts until the Great Reveal at the End so you could not possibly guess the culprit. That really soured me and I stopped reading this type novel. Therefore that line of intellect was stunted. Sadly this is about the same time I also took a breather from reading much of anything as I began to notice that the thoraxes of the female hoppers were growing larger and also I discovered contact bridge and as my pursuit of these two items pushed my engineering studies farther and farther from center stage, I soon found myself instead studying for a year long all expenses paid trip to Southeast Asia.

    But I digress.

I am so poor at this line of reasoning that it took me until now to realize that we really are going to do circles within circles.

OK fine, down the rabbit hole we go: a High End Intellectual in his prime, leading an Elderly Esteemed Scholar and an Ancient Bug into the unknown.

    What could possible go wrong?

    1. As the proud inventor of Among-Us + 4SSS mashup with no scientific data saying whether this idea is any good or not I fully concur with your last five words. Bring it on! 🙂
